Best Dinosaur Movies of All Time

If dinosaur movies are on your mind, right here is the list of best dinosaur movies of all time for real dinosaur fans. All of these films I have watched repeatedly and can still watch them once again and I believe that is what makes a dinosaur movie so great. There are lots of films with dinosaurs to select from. This article reviews only the best dinosaur movies from Hollywood and the rest of cinema world. You can view them along with your family members when you gather around on holiday seasons or on weekends. We’re asking you to pick your best dinosaur film and show in the comment section below why you’ve picked it.

Jurassic Park III (2001)

To start it off this really is a great film. It is rated PG-13 but it really should not be there isn’t any single cuss word and it is not that violent but it is still an excellent film. The third installment to the JP franchise is filled with motion and shows the viewers what they wish to see in a dinosaur movie. This film is really thrilling, edge-of-the-seat story. The way the Kirby’s came together and also were sacrificing everuthing to save their child is fantastic. The dinosaurs look good plus they move extremely smooth. The new creatures make the special effects even sweeter.

The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure

This is probably the greatest Land Before Time Movies in the series. Chomper is a adorable new character who steals the movie. The movie also retains the qualities and characteristics of the character the best. They’re more serious in the very first sequel than the later ones. This is a excellent film for both children and parents, it’s a very enjoyable time that is great for all!

King Kong (1933)

King Kong guards Ann from the dinosaurs that lurk on the tropical isle, and his last rampage is mainly due to his agitation over Ann’s safety. Yes, ‘Beauty killed the Beast’. And also I was not expecting any dinosaurs at all when I 1st discovered King Kong. I was just expecting a huge gorilla with a bad attitude. But when that stegosaurus appeared out of nowhere on screen and much more dinosaurs followed afterward through the film, it helped my expectations build up.

The picture is ok. Some scratches and fuzz occasionally, and sometimes the picture “strobes” a bit, however these flaws are excusable given the age of the movie. General, King Kong is without a doubt among the best and most magnificent tales ever brought to the screen, and features probably the most memorable characters ever created: King Kong.

Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959)

This is a great film, without doubt the best science fiction special effects film of its time. The special effects may be old fashioned by the current standards, but, if anything, they just add to the enjoyment of an adventure film played with utter conviction by a great cast. Stunning visuals and great soundtrack. There is a lot of talk at the start, and a lot of decision making concerning the attempted journey. But when you get to the rolling boulder sequence, the film by itself goes on a roll. I’d recommend not only for individuals who like adventure or science fiction, but to everyone!

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)

The Lost World also offers a great range of dinosaurs from the sweet but deadly compsagnathus to the fast Velociraptor to the biggest carnivourus dinosaur in the jungle, the Tyrannosarus. The T-Rex, Velocirators, mamenchisaurus and so on, these dinos are incredibly amazing. To state the truth I like the Jurassic Park a little better than this one but this one’s also interesting and exciting. The film is action packed and moves at a very fast pace. This film is really a must for any and all dinousaur junkies.

Charlize Theron – Aeon Flux

This movie was great in so many ways. When the trailers for “Dinosaur” were launched in 1999, I was about 10 yrs . old and I was experiencing one of the best anticipations of my childhood. The trailers for “Dinosaur” showed the first 7 min’s or so of the movie, where we saw first-class, revolutionary computer animation of CGI dinosaurs superimposed against real backgrounds and the blending was seamless.

The tale centers around a group of marsupial-type Dinos who have lost their isle paradise due to the fallout of an asteroid collision. As you might expect from the Disney production, the special effects are first class, the audio is very good, and the vocal talent does a great job. I would recommend this movie for all people 7 years of age and up. Parents, children might be scared by some of the more intense moments, as there are deaths, so it would be wise to sit together, or use discretion if they have tender sensibilities.

The Land Before Time (1988)

Probably “The Land Before Time” is the sort of film that appealed more to us when we were kids. Still, as adult, I keep in mind that it was a fascinating idea, with dinosaur kids having to rely on each other. This film is stunning, and tell a wonderful tale of a friendly relationship and really touches your heart in some moments like when Littlefoot’s mother dies. A happier scene is the Great Valley in the end, when Littlefoot’s mom supposedly leads him there. A great sense of spirituality is in this film – Littlefoot’s mom seems to hang around even after passing away. General, I think this was a fantastic animated movie and proved movie, even with child like charm, could discuss serious topics such as death and also destruction. Overall, its really a milestone for United states animation.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Steven Spielberg’s 1993 blockbuster is the best of the Jurassic trilogy, and the movie retains all the wonder and expectation it had when it was first launched. This film defines smart, awesome, action, adventure as well as education without breaking a sweat. Director Spielberg is at his creative best with this tour de force of suspense, acutely mixing action, awe and humor. In this movie there’s also suspenseful scenes too like when poor Tim gets roasted on the fence. A large amount of action goes on here! I would recommend it to anybody whom loves adventure movies.
